Most serious music lovers would agree that the “ultimate” audio component is a well behaved, dedicated, listening room. The listening space at our new facility represents a no-holds-barred approach to sound room design and execution. This room’s dimensions were all calculated to minimize standing wave propagation, and the walls and floor are all 10 inch thick concrete construction. All four walls have 100% coverage, 2 ½” thick rigid foam insulation bonded to both sides of the concrete, onto which is then bonded a dual layer, constrained mode damped sheathing system. The complete lack of wall cavities eliminates any tympanic membrane resonance in the wall system itself. The ceiling is a full 20 inch thick construction and is also covered with the same dual layer, damped sheathing system.

A combination of RPG diffusers and B.A.D. panels provide the correct broadband reverberant field without coherent specular reflections, while a series of custom broadband and quarter wave bass traps insure bass linearity down to the first octave. This ultimate soundroom is an essential tool in the development of our high-performance, full range loudspeakers, and in conjunction with some of the industry’s finest associated equipment, enables us to elevate the design process to the highest level possible. In this room, the listener can fully experience the true capabilities of our entire product range.
